Jewellery Care Guide

To help keep your jewellery in the best possible condition, please follow the care guidelines below.

Jewellery should always be removed before going to bed. Rings in particular are most commonly damaged during sleep, as movement and changes in temperature can cause them to catch, bend, or warp. This can lead to claws becoming loose or broken, and stones becoming vulnerable.

Please also remove jewellery before cleaning, exercising, or engaging in any physical activity. Avoid direct contact with perfumes, lotions, and hair products, as these can react with metals and gemstones and may cause tarnishing or dulling. For this reason, we recommend applying cosmetic products before putting on your jewellery.

Water can damage jewellery over time, so remove items before showering or swimming (washing hands is fine). When not being worn, store your jewellery in its gift box or wrap it in acid-free tissue paper, and keep it away from direct sunlight and humidity.

Cleaning Your Jewellery

For gentle home cleaning, submerge your jewellery in warm water with a few drops of mild washing-up liquid (such as Ecover). Opals and pearls should not be submerged, as they are delicate and can be damaged by water. Use a soft child’s toothbrush to carefully clean the piece, including underneath stone settings where residue can build up. Dry gently with a soft towel and allow the jewellery to air dry for a few hours before wearing again.
