GPSR Compliance Information

Erica Marianne Jewellery is handmade in our workshop in Berkshire, UK. Customer safety is of the utmost important to us and our products are made in adherence to all relevant European and UK safety standards.

Product type:

Handmade sterling silver, gold plated sterling silver, and solid gold jewellery.

Product specifications:

Jewellery handmade with sterling silver, gold plated sterling silver, and 9ct, 14ct and 18ct gold, with or without natural gemstones and lab created gemstones.

These products comply with the following safety regulations:

  • General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) 2023/988

  • REACH Regulation (1907/2006).

Nickel release regulation:

  • All products and their materials comply with the nickel release limits specified in BSEN1811:2011+A1:2015

Cadmium content: REACH compliant

  • Limits:  Cadmium (Cd) content must not exceed 0.01% by weight of the metal portion in any jewellery article or jewellery component.

  • All Erica Marianne Jewellery products contain less than 0.005% Cadmium and are REACH complaint. No internal recycling of external scrap — reducing contamination risk. Historical and ongoing testing confirms impurity levels well below regulatory limits.

Lead content: conforms to EU regulation 836/2012

  • Limits: Lead (Pb) ≤ 0.05% by weight (500 ppm). Any individual part of jewellery is prohibited from being placed on the market or used if it contains lead (Pb) ≥ 0.05% by weight.

  • All Erica Marianne Jewellery products conform to EU regulation 836/2012. No internal recycling of external scrap — reducing contamination risk. Historical and ongoing testing confirms impurity levels well below regulatory limits.

Safety warnings:

  • Erica Marianne Jewellery is not a toy, and is unsuitable for children under the age of 13 years. Keep out of reach of children aged 3 years and under due to small parts and potential choking hazards.

  • Chains may pose a strangulation hazard if caught on surrounding objects or if they become entangled. Wear chains with care and avoid wearing if there is a risk they may get caught or entangled.

  • Earring studs and hooks may post a risk of getting caught or scratching skin. Wear earrings with care and avoid wearing if there a risk they may get caught. Please see risk assessment below for more in depth safety precautions.
